Yan (Olivia) Ren, Of Counsel
Ms. Ren earned her J.D. with honors from the University of San Diego School of Law School. Before her journey in law, she earned her M.S. degree in life science and had work experience in the food and biotech industry. Ms. Ren’s practice includes intellectual property, corporate, business transactions, IP licensing, data privacy, dietary supplement and consumer products regulatory compliance, advertisement law, business and IP dispute resolution, and estate planning. She also advises her clients on employment law compliance. Prior to joining GAO, Ms. Ren clerked for a federal judge during law school and once worked in one of the largest law firms in the nation. She represented both fortune 500 and startups in various high-stake litigation matters and complex transactions. With her science background and research experience in an FDA laboratory, she particularly enjoys working with her clients regarding FDA, FTC, and EPA regulatory compliance matters.
Ms. Ren is committed to standing together with her clients, understanding their business and personal needs, and providing practical legal advice to help her clients navigate through the complex legal maze. Ms. Ren also serves as “outside general counsel” for many small to medium-size business clients. She provides excellent services to meet various legal needs and never hesitates to go the extra mile to solve her client’s legal problems.
